Rookie,
Do not use Loctite on your rocker studs. Bring the lifter to the base circle of the cam. At that point the method I use is to tighten your adjustment nut until you reach the point of zero lash. Snug the set screw to the stud at this time. Then as your adding the 1/2 turn preload to your adjustment nut,turn the set screw tight at the same time with your allen wrench. This will load the threads of the set screw to the threads of the adjustment nut and prevent both from backing off.
