Gen 5 Head bolts

Re: Gen 5 Head bolts
Personally I would recommend going with ARP stuff. Get studs if you can, otherwise go with just bolts. You can reuse the old bolts, but as long as you are there why not upgrade?? The torque number is 75-80 foot lbs. If you reuse the old bolts, make sure to clean and oil the threads and clean out the holes in the block, otherwise you will not get an accurate torque reading. Also don't forget to put thread sealer on the threads when reassembling.

why not upgrade????if they arent broke dont fix them... if you can get the torque without stretching them I'd reuse them but then again I'm dutch its your dime..... I put ARP's in mine but have reused them twice torque fine...

Re: Gen 5 Head bolts
I got a new set of ARP 235 4108 studs cheap. These are for the raised exhaust port Edlebrock style heads.
Also got a new set as a bove but with undercut studs. Not opened so I can still send the back.
Calling ARP and asking for the correct ones did no good. They can't read their own catalog.
