It will fit and start, but it may go boom! "3510m" is a Lester number for automotive starters. If that number is on the starter it definitely came from a discount auto parts store and it surely is not marine. The marine version has a center plate that keeps the sparks inside where they belong. I would go to your local electrical rebuilder and have it replaced with one of the newer, smaller pmgr starters.

Thanks for the help. I bought it to have a a back up but if that is the case and it is not a marine starter I will have to look into replacing it. The guy I bought it from advertised it as Marine and it did come from a Marina. Thanks again
