what did I read about turning the props by hand ? If I can tell a noticable difference ? With drives up and in gear it will turn at Idle ....but if you lower the drive and put load on it doesnt spin ...

Run the engine with drive down and in gear and take a look at the drive shaft.
If it rotates, it's not the coupler. If it not rotates ...
If it rotates, it's not the coupler. If it not rotates ...

Bingo ...merc Flo Torque Drive Hub ....41.00 ..Damn I'm Glad That Motor doesnt have to come out .......

OK .. found out I have the press in type hub ....So question now is ...do I invest in another set of props as spares ...or get newer props with quick change hubs ...or ..I read where cpl of 311's are running Hydromotive's QIV ...(Russ) ...
