Should be ok as long as you're easy getting up on plane. If you're running a LH prop you might want to look at a Billet Cap.

I have the same setup, as your are talking about. Whipple/502 Mag in a Baja 25 Outlaw. I did not do any modifications to the Bravo. I have only put about 35 hours on the boat since I added the Whipple, but as long as you don't rough house it getting on plane you should be ok.

I also have a standard B1 on my 271 Fastech, 502 mag, 5300# dry. I haven't put many hours on it since the Whipple, but I have found that where I used to hammer the throttle to get onto plane (before the Whipple), I now only use less than half throttle and it jumps on plane in about half the time. In terms of stress to my B1, it almost seem like a wash

Chase910 -

Can you explain the comment about LH rotation and the billet cap?

LH rotation uses the top gear near the cap. It really torques the top cap so a stronger cap will help the life of the drive. RH rotation doesn't make a big difference.

What zt260 said. Again a good insurance item if you run a left handed prop.

I believe the 502 Mag. already has those valves in it...no need to replace. If you want to help against detonation, have the heads worked...some porting to remove the hot spot area's...Dustin at Whipple can fil you or the head shop in on what to do and then put the Fel-Pro blower head gaskets on and you're good to go. Sorry, can't remember the part number for the gaskets, but its listed in another thread here if you do a search.
