Thanks everybody. Troutly's route looks the simplest and I bet works great. I can't have switchable exhaust on my lake, so that's not an option. I also like the idea of putting more water into the system, but I'm not sure how to do all that.

I did call GGB and they offered to make an extra restrictive 11' inch muffler that'll go on my existing GGB muffler tip. It'll just clamp-on. Pretty simple. I ordered it... $299. The total length extending from the transum will be 12". Not so bad. The tip will still be covered by about an inch of swim platform and the tip won't be in the water when at rest.

If this doesn't do it, I'm going to go Troutly's route with the 'Snuffler'.

I get the new mufflers next Tuesday. I'll post the results next week.

Thanks!

Tom

Has Anyone Tried Livorsi New Silent Power E Series Dual Circuit Muffler? Been Getting A Lot Of Great Feedback. There Available In A Clampon And Transom Mount Verson And Are Very Easy To Install.

We won't bring up the viagra props then will we...

I have the GGB insert mufflers in hand right now. Unfortinatly, they won't fit my existing Teague tips (not enough internal length). I have order the shell for their shortie muffler tips. As soon as I can get this installed, I'll throw a couple of sound tests up here for comparison.

Hey how far under the water do you run your snuffler's. I am looking at rigging up something a little more permanent then rubber hose and will be removable but I am looking for some of you that have tried it. Does it really matter if the exhaust exits 2" or 4" below water line?

Thanks Andy

Default Not Limp Richards

Well first proto-type are complete. Still need to water test but I think they will work well. For now I am running Teague's switchable mufflers until they start cracking down while running across the lake and I can not open them up any more. At this time they are just concentrating around marina's etc. Hope the pics turn out.
