Default Carb problems

When turning the engine over and not giving it any throttle gas just continuously spills into the intake until all fuel pressure has bled off. Took float bowl off and appears fine inside. Do I need to get a new needle and seat for the float?

You are definately on the right track, needle and seat are first to change. Also, make sure float is adjusted to correct height.

Make sure the float doesn't have gas inside it. Any liquid inside will cause the carb to flood the engine.
Are you running an electric pump?
If so, do you have a pressure regulator in line? Fuel pressure shouldn't be over 6 psi.
