I have the cast 502 crate motor valve covers on my 502mpi. Can you fit roller rockers under these? If not I will convert to adjustable valve train. Did heads and need adjustable. Did any one use their same pushrods, I wondered if the length would work. Thanks

I used crane gold rockers on my 540 w/stock cast valve covers, the aftermarket valve covers hit my procharger and air inlet to it so i had no choice. I did it by grinding oil drippers out, sanding the inside smooth then used a felpro premium rubber gasket (the one with the steel insert in it) and left oring in valve covers,i also used this premium grey rtv between the oring and the gasket,it is oil tight,no leaks. I used that gasket to gain a 1/4 in more clearence (my rocker nuts still hit v.c without it).Have fun!

I have stock covers with rollers do as artic said grind off the drippers and the little feet at each bolt hole and use the thick felpro gaskets. I've never used any rvt and they stil wont leak..

I used Crane Gold on my 502 mpi with stock valve covers, gaskets & pushrods and only had to grind the dippers off, no leaks or clearance issues!

My valve covers were the gasket style and I had to remove the drippers and machine the nuts about .200" shorter.I also used sharter lock set screws. This was with comp pro magnums. Most aluminum rockers require grinding the rocker itself.
