Default Engine assembly costs??

Well over the last few years I've put together with help my last 4 motors its kind of fun and saves money but I'm sick of little issues that keep me from boating.......I'm just sick of wrenching. We all know that engine builders make tons of $ on the mark up of the parts I get my parts through a wholesaler in Chitown cheap. Does anyone know of a builder that will just assemble your parts? I'm not looking for a guarantee just good work for honest money....Will they do it or tell you to jump off a bridge?

Gene at Lightning Performance (LOTO) can do this kind of work. I bought many of the parts he used in the assembly of my motors. He does have some brand preferences on some parts based on his experiences so he might be hesitant to use off brand stuff and provide his usual warranty. He also likes to have his machine shop prep the block, balance components, etc. before he assembles. He is very easy to work with and his rates are in line with any other shop.

His number is (573) 374-7974.

Good Luck,
Doug

Marine Assault Custom Engines in Tulsa.

Marineassault.net

$1,200.00 + any additional parts and macine work for a professional blueprint. Not a bad deal as it takes about 50 hours to do it right.

Dyno-many builders like to use their own parts because they have found what works for them. If they do get a bad part, they can deal with it internally. If you bring him a crank and it doesn't measure up, do you want to pay for the extra machining costs? I know how much frustration you have gone through. Don't you think it's time to just step up to the plate? Here's my motor. Here's what I want. Here's what I have to spend. Done. Now go and have fun and keep your head out of the bilge.
