Default B-Max drive "coupler" question

I competed in the Sacramento Bridge to Bridge radar runs last weekend and did real well (132 on radar and 135 mph on GPS) but I broke what I would call a coupler that houses the U-Joints on the drive shaft between the flywheel coupler and the drive. Does anyone know if a B-Max drive uses a standard Mercruiser coupler or if they use something special? I tried to call the Bravo Shop to find out but they were closed today by the time we figured out what the problem was. I will try them again tomorrow morning if I don't get an answer. Wild Thang are you out there? I bet you would know.

Thank you,
Keith

Thumbs up Re: B-Max drive "coupler" question

Keith- Check maxmachineworx as there is a part shown that sounds like what you decribed.

EWB, thanks for the correct terminology on that part that we are talking about. Do you know why yours are breaking? This is the first time in 3 years of hard running that I had that particular part fail. I did find out from the Bravo Shop that it is a Mercury part and not something special that they actually manufactured for my B-Max drive.

HP, thanks for the info on MaxMachineWorx. I did call them this morning and talked to Aaron. He's not sure if his upgraded part will fit the B-Max drive or not. If I were local to him, I would just take it down for him to let me know for sure. EWB, are you running an IMCO drive? If so, then maybe the MaxMachineWorx upgraded center socket will help in your situation.

Thanks guys,
Keith
