Carb / Cam Questions
Well got my boat in the water today and everything is a go but my carb still needs some tuning. Going from idle to mid range there is a flat spot were it back fires and dies. If you get past that it's ok. My dad is going to see if there is a dead spot in the acc pump. This is my set up it's a 350 w/ holy 750 marine carb, proformer rpm intake, world products sportman 2 heads, crane roller rockers, flat top pistions , dry gill exhust , and the cam were not 100% but seems to be bigger and might have a big overlap ( I know thats were dry exhust comes in to play for reversion) I have to check but my dad thinks that the vacum might be low?? He had a 440 mopar with a big cam and he remove the vacum seconddares. When cranking the motor over with a compression gage it reads only 60psi, we think its from the cam at low rpm.... Any thoughts on carb set-ups will help. Thanks Kyle S.C.S., M.I.

Re: Carb / Cam Questions
Well I found some good post on carb adjusting. Also am I better off using a marine quad(ger)-jet carb. I have one just needs a re-build kit. Not the best speller....
