What the...? Engine Trouble

Re: What the...? Engine Trouble
Mercs have a 50 amp circuit breaker.
OMCs have a main 50 amp fuse.
If the positive connector came off at the solenoid, that would kill all power to helm.
I went through something like this a week ago and I thought it was the starter but it was a cruddy 50 amp fuse holder.
As usual, Liberator21 makes a great point.

Re: What the...? Engine Trouble
Ahhhh....Done!!! I just got done taking the starter out and reinstalling a new one. When I put all the cables back on the solenoid all the electrical worked fine. Hooked up the water, turned the key and she fired right up like nothing was ever wrong.
I just wanted to thank all you guys that gave suggestions. I am only 25 years old and just haven't accumulated enough experience with this stuff yet. Without the advice from this website I would have no chance of keeping my boat running without going broke. I am signing up for a membership right now, I want this website to be around for a long time. Thanks again, hope to see some of you on the water....I'll buy you a beer or two.
