28 sonic speed

ive got 28-0 sonic twin 383 strokers 400hp with (alpha drives don't laugh)at 3000 rpm im running 35mph at 4900 im running 55 seems very slow im running 3blade counter rotating mirage props. ill have to check the pitch ifeel i should be getting 68-70 mph.the exhaust is powerflo.i am still running the stock carbs from the original 270 hp i have new ones that i purchased on oso.but still should'nt i get more speed?

yup i've trimed them untill i reach maximum speed.

Don't worry I won't....I pushing 375hp with mine on a 358sbc. I really researched this as much as I can and I think with a small block running less than 425HP your fine ESPECIALLY with twins. I think the main thing is watch the jackrabbit starts and catching air. Which you would have to do with a built Big block and a Bravo anyways....

I think you need to figure out your slippage to see how the boats performing.You need to know you speed now with a gps/gear ratio of the drives and prop pitch.Then call THROTTLEUP and speek to Julie.If the slippage is to high You will need to get more lift in the boat.Ask about spinning the drives in instead of out for more bow lift.The mirage is a great prop for speed and the rpm is right there.TRY 877-842-6855 for THROTTELUP GOOD LUCK DUDE
