![Question](/forums/images/icons/icon5.gif)
02 35 fountain snorting 575's about 690 hp ea.. tons of power
getting used to it now and starting to love the step bottom the way it runs...
i am now running 31 hydro 5 blades and think my cruise speed is to low
1.50 gears.
what slip should i expect with
2 in shorty sportmsters with 1 in spacer
lets us 80 gal total fuel 2 people in boat..sluip should be???? 10% 15% 20%????
i am getting slip numbers of between 18-22% seems awfull high,,,
at higher speeds i can understand the high slip as i run some tab over 85 to keep it from chine walking.
according to fountains spec sheet on the boat the cruise was way higher etc.
would the p5x s be better or merc 5 blades ??
will mercs fit with the shortys??
any thoughts??

Been busy with the storm that never hit us. Getting things back in order. I sent you a PM.
It shouldn't be a problem getting your boat to run better. Your boat is typical of the type of boat we deal with. Get back with me on the information I need and then I can make some reccomendations.
