First the current conditions. 99 32' A/T twin efi 500's bravo1's 28p bravos 4 blade.
With four aboard full fuel and daily goodies drives all in, tabs at 4-6, I have to turn about 3000-3200 rpm and wait for props to grab to get out of the hole.
I could hammer it from 2-3 mph and hit the rev limiters and never get out. Comfortable cruising 50 'ish is at 3800 rpm, WOT climbs very fast on the rpm 's and props catch up and then hit rev limiters at about 70 'ish.
All mph are on stock pitot tube speedo so they are unreliable.
It seems to me that I could spin these props all day long and there should be more top end. The props are in great shape.
What I would like is a little more jump out of the hole some more top end and lower rpm at cruise, but I also do not want to hear the dreaded "drive pinion rattle song".
Anyone near Lake Havasu have a set of pitch up props they want to let me try?
