desperately seeking Gen VI flywheel for cast crank 454/502
I found one here, now I blew my port Mtr and need another for a '97 cast crank 454. I'm pretty sure the casting # on the flywheel is 10101171 and the part # is 12556918. Thanks for your help.

Actually, most newer 454's have a flexplate, and I need a flywheel. Floridianson(a fine member of this board) sent me one for my last update for the cost of shipping,,,saving me $220 or 11 yrs membership for you. No, I haven't gotten around to signing up yet, to busy working on 2 blown motors and reading magazines. Don't know if any came on the 502 but it should be bal. for a cast 454,not forged.

I have two flywheels from '89 454 mags ... these were Mark IV blocks, so I don't know if they are compatible. PM or call me @ 419-882-1680 if you can use them.

If you cant find anything you can always match the flywheels up on a balancer. Did one for a customer last month. kr
