Carrera 24 fuel tank/removal issue.
I recently purchased a 1982 Carrera to restore. I was considering whether I should replace the two fuel tanks or trust the fact that they were not leaking and go from there. Well upon inspecting under the floor via several access hatches, I decided that there was no question in my mind that I was going to change the tanks. Good clue to have noticed the missing fuel level gauges on the dash. The fittings to the tank are pretty corroded, and I cannot find the elec connections to where the fuel senders would connect due that the previous owner expansion foamed everything over. Better change them out at this point, and know what I am dealing, then to find out the hard way.
My question: does anyone know the capcity of each tank? I never had to fuel it up so I have no idea. I know it is a difficult job, but other than that does anyone have expirence on a Carrera with reomving\replacing the tanks?
Any ideas, as well any fuel tank builders in the Ft. Lauderdale area that anyone has had good results with.

Thanks in advance

Re: Carrera 24 fuel tank/removal issue.
Hey thanks,
Since I posted the question, the previous owner indicated to me that he believed that they were each 37gallons. That seems small. I was also told that the boat was orginally built for outboards, never had them mounted, but that is why it had two tanks because the build up was different with an additional middle stringer, thus seperating the area for a single tank. Just what I heard, don't know if it is true or not.
I see your logo is a Concept, great boat, my first choice in a center console/go-fast.
I will post some more pics in the next day or so under my project thread.
