22' Baja Hammer, SPEED??

had a hammer with a 540 in itwould run right at 80,no add on steering, you definately have to drive it at those speeds without add ons,mine was'nt the cheapest way to go i spent 13k on the motor but u can get bye cheaper,or u can just put a procharger on it for about 6k,mine had 7.4 motor in it would run 65,but the happy speedo would say 70,get a gps speed to start,fun boat but watch out at that speed.

bravo to all the little boats ( 22' ) making big speeds, hey sledge hammer do you ever get around praire duchein or lacrosse, wi. would like to run with you. we have a great time on the miss. got a 22' scarab with a hp500 and it handles it great. as a matter of fact the largest in our group of 6 is 23' and we're running 72-81.2 on gps. it's fun pulling up along side the bigger boats. (no hard feelings bigger guys).
