It hasn't collapsed mine, I wont run it. Every person I know who religiously adds it (every tank/oil change/etc) seems to have the same problem. Different boats, engines, etc.

DryGas is basically alcohol. Water will not 'dissolve' into gasoline but will into alcohol (therefore passing through the engine in small enough quantities as to not hurt anything [in the form of slightly lower octane gas]). Unfortunately, alcohol is ruthless on rubber parts and will quickly break them down destroying things like fuel lines.
