I'm getting ready to put a set of Dart iron eagle 308's on my modified 502MPI's. I understand that I will have to make a few other changes with these heads. I'm aware that the exhaust ports are raised a little and that the intake valves need to be .25" longer and I will need longer head bolts on the exhaust side. Any other issues with these heads?? I have heard that I might need different spark plugs, that my stock valve covers won't work right and that I may need valve train modifications(already crane gold rollers). Any truth to this? Any other problems or changes needed? Thanks-

4 years ago i put merlin vr's on my 502,i was able to get the exhaust back together(with the raised ports) by loosening EVERYTHING all the way to the tips thru the transom and forcing the parts together. I reused stock valve covers by grinding the splash tabs inside smooth and i used a set of felpro premium thick vc gaskets with the steel insert,i used black rtv on the molded seal in vc and sandwhiched the vc gasket between it and the head. This gave me the neccesary clearence to run the gold rockers,Smitty
