Do yourself a favor and don't overstep your budget. An older boat with twins will cost you all the way around,,gas, twice the broken/worn parts, bigger truck, etc. I have gone both routes and did not take my own advice. I sold a cherry 1995 22 Scarab that I bought for 18000 in the winter of '98,used it for almost 6 years with only an impeller change and sold for 14000. Before and after that I bought 13-15 yr olds that needed a total going thru even though they would run "fast" and where cool 30' boats.Find a motivated but anal owner, bring a Boat knowledgable person(pay a pro if ness.), and buy now when summer is knots and knots away. Buy a near perfect, smaller, newer, boat or likely pay to maintain a well worn boat and net/net you won't be out much more $ and be boating more and wrenching less.
UNLESS YOU LIKE TO WRENCH,BUT NOBODY LIKES TO DO THAT WHEN IT'S 80 AND THE SUN IS SHINEING.
