My experience is similar to other posters. My boat came with a 23 pitch 3 blade Mirage, and I now run a 24 pitch 4 blade Bravo. My boat handles so much better with the 4 blade prop and the top end is almost the same. My boat is a a Sea Ray 230 Overnighter with a 454 Mag 385hp.

I guess I'm kinda jumping the gun a bit. I guess I will wait to see how the 25 standard mirages work on the boat before I go changing them, maybe for no reasonable improvement! I just cant stand not being able to do something with the boat until summer! I hate winter!

by "standard Mirages" do you mean Mirage or Mirage Plus? There is a big difference. Bigger blades and more cup with the Plus= less blowout and less slip.

The props it came with are not mirage plus, just mirage's, and they measure 14 1/2 diameter by 25 pitch. The gps that it also came with had a recorded top speed of 74.5 mph. I guess I will just have to wait and try out the props it came with before going with mirage plus or bravos.

When I bought my boat it had one Mirage Plus and one standard Mirage, both 25 pitch. The previous owner must've trashed a prop and bought the first one he could find.
I saw a 400rpm differance from one engine to the other. The Mirage would blowout under a lot of different circomstances. The plus never would.
