Weiand 277 ?
I finally got my winter project home last night. The dealer threw in a Wieand 277 blower with my box of parts. I have a couple of questions? There are a number of magic marker numbers on the top of the blower and on the mounting surface on the bottom. It looks like they are from the factory because they are under the anodizing. I think they would stand for thousands out of flatness? Although I am not sure. I do not have a surface plate to check. The top varies from 19 to 20 and the bottom is between 12 and 22 on the two outside corners. The center section is within 4 where the o ring seals. Is this normal tolerances for this type of blower? Am I misinterpreting this information or markings? i have 3 powere plants and i am also wondering what i should do? I have a gen 4 454 tall truck block a 96 L29 complete motor65k and a 330 horse merc motor that has a cracked block. should i build a 496 with a flatlander kit and supercharge it? I was thinking about the edlebrock 454-r heads? I am also thnking about going naturaly asperated for the first season. Flatlander pn SKC4963 and Performer RPM 454-R Marine Rectangular Port with
6155 Performer RPM Assembled Heads, 118cc $1299.00
would this setup work with NA 1st season and then force feed it the second? what boost? I have about 4500 to spend to get it on the water. How are the flatlander kits to balance?
