In ran a globe on one engine and a stock impeller on the other. Stock out lasted the Globe by more than a year. BTW, I never run them dry.

How long did the globe last you? And your saying stock is much better in your opinion?

Globes will run dry longer without killing it.

If you never run dry, then Globe won't show much additional life.

I have more of a sand problem than anything. The globe after one full summer season had quite a bit of grooving at the contact point of the vanes. The Merc did not. They both were on new bodies. For my use, the merc is better is my opinion. I usually go 2-3 years on the impellers and change them well before they fail.
