Default Intercooler wanted

Looking to purchase an intercooler to work with an M1 application. From what I've been reading the RTech is the way to go but the $ is more than I can swing. Any suggestion where I can find one new or used under $1000.00 ?

By using the larger intercooler will I lose any boost pressure ? I guess it doesn't matter much since the charge air will be cooler right ?

Bigger cooler, less restriction, cooler air charge, less HP to turn procharger, run higher boost, more timing, less chance of detination, more HP to the prop, faster boat. The 504 cooler has a 4inch inlet and outlet, not knowing what size outlet is on the blower, you may need a reducer, which is available.

The M1 has a 3" outlet as does the carb enclosure. I assume the reducers will not affect air flow correct ?

It would be fine from the blower to the cooler, it may pick up the air speed going into the carb enclosure, I would probably run a carb hat, for peak performance.
