I have installed 9 sets of Stainless Marine exhaust on both 502 and 454 engines with no major problems. I did elect to use a better set of gaskets then were supplied by Stainless Marine.

Can the gen3 SM be installed with silent choice? Would need a short elbow section.

wildcard,
I have two sets of Stainless on the new boat I purchased and they leak. The headers are new, but the pipes are not. I took the rope gasget off yesterday to see if its the problem but have no clue. The clamps were tight. Should the rope gasget be completly round? Mine is cut. Do they come this way? Any ideas...enclosed is a pic of were it leaks on all four joints. Leaks very little. Would high temp silcone work?
thanks.

YEah, your right...Might be a mismatch...The gasket is not round, should it be? it was cut.

H iPerf 2000,

How was the install? any problems, did the brackets fit and work well? Any reworking anything, like trimming that 4" rubber hose or did it just slip on?

Thanks, that is my exact setup in your picture, only one engine tho.
