Re: Trim Pump Pressure Relief Valve
Michael, I had new cylinders made for the tabs and they are sunstantially thicker and beefier. They are at the painter as we write. I am having some bracing made to hold the pump together, as usual, I broke the top loose from the bottom. They have such a poor design for a performancve oriented product. I still need to take my pump apart and drop the pressure down. Once I do this, I can make fine adjustments if needed. After I broke the one cylinder last year, I used the other one to hold the tab up for the balance of the summer without any problem and my plate is 20 X 40 X 5/8 thick.
Can't wait for a little better weather. See you this summer, I still owe you a ride.

Re: Trim Pump Pressure Relief Valve
mm,
Very interesting, so your saying my Merc Kplane pump and rams probably won't work too well. What about running two pumps off of one switch to double the downforce pressure. Or would one pump be doing the same thing(I'm no hydraulics expert). How much were the Trick Marine rams(price wise).

Re: Trim Pump Pressure Relief Valve
Ok I finally got to run my boat with the larger cylinders. I worked perfect. It works a little slower of course but the bigger cylinders hold the tab down in any condition.
Thanks everybody for the advice!

Michael, glad to hear you got your boat out and it ran well. Where do you go?
Saturday was great, we went to Annapolis and Sunday Middle River.
My tab is working well too, it came in handy this weekend to knock down a little porpoise I have since I took the spacer out of the drives. The spacer is going back in when I pull the drives at the end of the season, or before if I brake something.
I still owe you a ride.
Take care
Shawn

Hi Shawn Everything is woking well Thankyou. We stayed local, there was a party at lloyds creek complete with a band on a pontoon boat, then dinner at the chesapeake inn. Sunday seemed ugly so I stayed home. Saturday is canal day at chesapeake city, are you comming up?

MIchael, we will not be able to attend the Chesapeakle City soiree, Judy's sister is having a Blues concert at her house on Saturday. Jim said it was pretty ugly coming back to the Bohemia from Middle River on Sunday. Probably a good thing you stayed local.
See you soon
