Default water pressure

can anyone tell me if there is a better location to draw water pressure from rather than the bottom side ofthe block.and the best place to install a pop off valve.thanks.

My pressure is taken from the intake manifolds...the pop-off valves are installed just prior to entering the cross-overs and dump out the side of the boat. Pressure is around 28 psi @ full throttle which is the pressure valves by-pass. The lower block location tend to become clogged over time (fresh water cooled)

What kind of pop off valves are most people using??? and do you install it before the water goes into the crossover???

Mercury racing sells them for around $102. (cheap plastic)

installed before the crossover ... and after the oil cooler ...

bob thanks for the info.where did you tap your water pressure line from the intakes.i have supercharged engines w\no thermostats.

I used a spare temp sender boss on the front of manifolds.Here are a few pics of the installation

each dump is located just outboard of engines ... sorry its not the best picture ...
