Need help on a 28 foot V-Boat!!!
Hey i bought a 28 foot V-Boat with no engines... it got 2 holes for fitting 2 drives therefore i guess 2 engines...I am very confused in what i should install... i wanna make it go fast between 70 to 95 mph. With 70 mph i would be extremely happy... dont want it faster than 95mph. Fuel economy is a big issue in my country (malta) since fuel is really expensive. Any suggestions?? Any help really appreciated thanks...

Throw in a pair of merc 525efi w/ XR drives.
Or you could order a set of aftermarket.
And if you are confused on what to install, why would you buy a boat w/o power?

Because it wasn't expensive and i liked its shape. Dont you think a pair of 525 efi's is a bit too much?? I seen 28 foot v boat with only one 525 efi running around on d net.
What do you mean by aftermarket sales?

Re: Need help on a 28 foot V-Boat!!!
A couple of old modified 454's with Bravo 1 drives will be reliable and go about 70. Still won't be cheap though. My best guess using all used parts is: 2 Drives: $8000, 2 Drive mounts: $4000, Engines (after rebuild): $6000. Your at $18,000 just for the hard parts. Nick knacks add up quickly (cables, motor mounts, trim pumps, etc...). Minimum $20,000 to go 70 with all used stuff starting with 2 holes (no porn).

I have JC Performance building me a 461cu in w/ about 550hp.
He can build you 2 new engines much cheaper than merc.

You said you want to go 70-95. That is a huge difference.
Do you know what the boat had before? big blocks or small blocks?
Do you want to convert to a single?
But I'd have to say its gonna cost you 20-30k to rig this thing right.
And diesels will cost even more.
Show us some pics.
And being in Europe makes it hard for some of us to figure out what u should do.

Best product I have found for the money. Others out there are nicer, but you pay for the difference of course.
