On;y $16,000, funny how that's the same price as Arneson ASD6 conversion and about the same as Konrads conversion.

HP Junkie - Yes - It's a 28' Wellcraft Scarab Excel. I was runing a 28p Bravo I with a procharged 454 ( 75 MPH). I'm going to start with a 32 B1 and see what happens. Hope to see mid eighties. Now go away ICE.

Payton, I started off with the teague platnum xr, I broke the vertical shaft just cracking the throttle at 120. I moved on to the Max shafts, top cap and gears. Everything is holding up except for the gears, I know I'm over powering the unit, it's my fault that they break. I'm looking at drive options as we speak.

Re: 540 Dyno Numbers
GPM you need a BMAX on your boat! Rod at Perf Marine has several of these behind big power on big boats and they have held up. There was some negative press on these when they first came out, but those issues have been resolved from what I have been told. It may cost you a few MPH, but I think you have some to spend!!
Very nice numbers on Scarab 28!! Yes you will likely have to consider a drive upgrade as well!!

Nice, Tq peak at 4600 and Hp at 5400-5600. 900/900 is a nice number. What boost are you running? Is that man pressure in inHg? 11-16? I believe it would be about 5-8 pounds boost. Whish is about right 540CID 1.1Hp/CID = 600HP and 8pounds/16 = 900HP.

Re: 540 Dyno Numbers
True! But if the lowers can handle the abuse HTM puts them through drag racing their 24 turning mid 9's at 120+ MPH I'm pretty sure they should live on a pleasure boat. Even if it is approaching 150 MPH!! The only lowers I have really heard of are prop shafts or if they were set up wrong. Normally the top is the weak link and breaks first. With your 1300 HP motor and RPM who knows!
