installing offshore mounts
Planning on replacing my std merc mounts with offshore mounts.
Does anyone know of a jig that is available for setting up the L brackets and mounts in the boat before engine installation.
Other wise where would I be able to get a plastic block that I could use for setting everything up.

Re: installing offshore mounts
i did mine with a plastic block. Just measure to make sure its all even very carefully. when its all lined up clamp everything securly in place and drill the mounting holes. then bolt it in place.

Speedway motors has the plastic block:

Puder, did you do this on a bravo boat? I would think the engine coupler needs to be bolted on so you can use the alignment tool.
