I have seen several threads in the maintenance forum about problems with VDO tach operations. I have had tach problems since I owned the boat. The previous owner said he had had the tach checked out and it was ok. However the tach never works properly. It will sometimes read ok at idle and sometimes at higher rpm, however it usually reads erratically, dropping to zero for a while, etc. We added the adaptor that was reccommended and rewired the tach. Still erratic. Also does anyone have a VDO hour meter they would be willing to part with?
