that's how i read the rule as well. but i know there are boats out there that can not meet this weight...
using the same engines for multiple races also will make things VERY interesting in race strategy. 4 races!!!

the question about the motors will be can you make up the points by making more HP and swapping motors than you can by making less HP and running multiple races.... that will be interesting...

I think they might be doing to help with cheating. Its easy to hide ballast. But if your boat can barely make weight empty you dont have any to hide

Just got the call....the wording is incorrect...the boat still has to weigh a min of 9500. 500 of which can be moved other than h2o ballast tanks. any additional weight will have to be glassed in and sealed at the start of the season by a oss tech. the fixed weight will have to remain there for the season.
