Thanks,

The reporting is still the best over there, atleast they spell out the story of the race. Here all you get is a list of finishers.

Do you know why the Qatar team dumped the 850 motors?

i think the 95 team runs the merc's and the 96 team runs the v-12's...

the two spirit of norway teams are doing the same, on running the v-12 and the other running the merc...

i was surprised to see negotiator running sterlings....

Both Qatar on v12's from what was written on the race report.

Did you see that jotun knocked the bump off the mti? Good photos on the class-1 site.

What happened to the WPPA? I talked to Buzzi last week and he said the UIM Cominoff (president) was let go after 20 years. Is that why the WPPA died?

It appears they have harmony as everyone races under the UIM flag. Like we had done many years ago under the APBA flag.

the pics show the 96 with the v-12 intakes and the 95 without them... the report does make it confusing though...

i did notice the flat deck of the jotun boat... lots of new stuff this year to look at over there....

I'm afraid it's not so harmonious.

Class 1 is running under WPPA and not the UIM. The UIM's premier class is now probably Powerboat P1.

Sadly, politics in offshore powerboating seems to be universal.

I had the impression that WPPA and UIM made up and went back together,,,or didn't that happen?
