It happened in the early 80's, names like Betty Cook, Joel Harpin, Al Copeland were the names of some of the racer's.
They raced friday mornings 2 laps down to the ambassor bridge then twice around lake St clair.

including running 2 wide under the same span of the McAurther Bridge.

Sunday's Hydro racing included legends like Bill Muncey, Tom D'Eath, and young gun by the name of Chip Hanuner(sp).
Just to name a few, back in the day when Piston power ruled the river!!!

Smitty....

The 750's will be a go....but we will be doing it at the end of the year along with the #6's....and rumor has it the 750's will be coming out of your shop.....

But we are having so much fun so far this year running against the great group of guys this year....will finish up to see if we can tangle some more with Wanted, that little Activator and them old guys in that tank called AMF along with some others.....

Marc I have hit concrete walls with stock cars and it hurts but it's a cool rush when you get about 3" from it. Try it out let me know what you think.
