To Al,
Thank you for everything you did for Offshore Racing over the years. The great parties, the great races, and your open door for everyone to have fun and share what you made. You are, and always will be someone to look up to be. A caring and giving person
R.I.P. Mr Copeland
your job is done here, and the pain is no longer

I had the chance to meet Al in Destin 2 years ago and he walked up to the small group of racers I was talking to and said "How's it goin boys?" and we looked up and just smiled and said "just enjoying the party" and then we realized it was Al Copeland. We were all dumb founded that he was just passin through and taking the time to say hello. Of course after that a ton of people walked up and asked him for his autograph. What a legend! My hats off to all he has done for the sport of power boat racing. God Bless Al and my deepest sympathy to his family!

We were lucky enough to have met him and watched him race. He was approachable and easy to talk to. Many great memories for the "Love of the Sport" of Offshore Racing. Our condolences to his family and many friends.
