John, Smitty I have to get my 2 cents in on this ne for what its worth. When Dave an I had our little problem in 01 I had picked up a set of switches and lanyards from the fountain dealer here.We passed inspection three times with them. When we had our problem in Sarosota the last thing i did before all hell broke loose was pull the throutle back to idle, witch they tell me was real dumb. Anyway when i came to on the floor we were still running , not fast but fast enough to scare the jeebers out of you when you cant move to get at a lanyard that didnt disconect because it was to damn long and partner is knocked out behind the wheel. I guess what im trying to say is, that switch is usless if the cord is to long. MEL

John, make sure you have extra caps on board. Here's the scenario. The passenger gets tossed, the engine stops. Without a cap for his switch (remember, his is still attached to him) you won't be able to restart the boat and retrieve him from his swim.

One switch for each of you is the rule.
