Default Turn 3 at St. Pete

This may have been discussed before but it seems that all of the Super Cat and Super Cat Lights except one missed the right turn (turn 3 at the yellow buoy). It also seemed as though the pace boat did not lead them through the turn. They missed the turn on the pace lap and the first lap and then seemed to pick it up after that. Other people noticed this. Is there an explanation?
Was it planned that way for safety?

Ray I also noticed that and thought they all missed it. After asking around I was informed that on the first lap they were allowed to miss it in order to spread the fleet out on the first lap only. This was for the second day of racing only. We must have good eyes Ray
