Re: Cincinnati Offshore Race
Dear Mr. Reindl,
It has been decided by a unanimous vote of the Executive and Advisory Board of the Great Lakes Silver Cup Series that it is in the best interest of the Great Lakes Silver Cup Series to rescind our participation with your event this year. This vote was based on the failure of the Cincinnati Offshore Racing Association to meet the minimum requirements for participation with the Great Lakes Silver Cup Series.
Upon reviewing your responses to the requests for the required information made by Members of the Board via email and telephone, we have found them to contain many false statements regarding not only your event in general but also the alleged misconduct by one of our Board Members.
The changes that you have made 25 days prior to the start of your event, without consulting the Executive Board, indicate a lack of organization and create the potential for an event based on chaos rather than professional planning, resulting in increased liability risks that we are unwilling to shoulder the responsibility for.
We will be removing the Cincinnati Offshore Racing Association event from our schedules and our website as well as notifying our Sponsors of our decision. As such, you will be required to remove any mention of the Great Lakes Silver Cup Series on any of your letterhead, websites or other printed advertising.
Sincerely,
Andy Bloom

Chris,
For the record, I trust you, you've always delivered whatever you said you would, and you've stepped up to the plate on more than one occasion to help folks that would never have been able to particpate in an Offshore race, but for your commitment.
I also understand the Cincinatti race is on! (the above post might indicate otherwise) WELCOME BACK TO APBA!

Thanks for your post Steve David....on a side note....this looks to be the ONLY race on this side of the country that can be substituted/replaced for a APBA GMC Pro Grade race per the rule book...This event saved our team from doing the dreaded Cali drive! JBS Racing LLC is very excited about this years event/venue and look forward to participating!
PS....WE are preregistered. Look forward to seeing many OSO'ers of the area and welcome you all to stop by our pits!!!!

They didn't cancel the race, they just said they wouldn't be involved with it. I know this is Chris's baby. No where did it say anything about cancelling the race.

Net, net... the APBA Offshore Central Division is back on the map in the Midwest.
Chris's efforts with Miller Lite and the Tri-State Cup Series should show those in doudt that he knows how to organize an event. And his One Design program has always been a class act.
Kudo's Chris, and I look forward to seeing you this season. We'll be shooting for a chunk of that $30k purse!

Some people simply need to get a grip or relocate off the planet. Chris we'll be there, no doubt will be a smokin' time.
