Operation Missile launch.

Operation Missile launch.

Greetings to all fans, critiques, radar gun toters and eager onlookers!,

I recently heard that at the Camden race the 38 Bad Boy was clocked by radar at 106mph. The facts are that the OPA GPS read 101mph, which caused the 38 to loose first place and end up with a third place finish due to the one minute penalty. We set the boat up with 27 5 blade hydromotives supplied by the great throttle up (Matt and Julie) and rev limited at 6400rpm. We decided to make a launch at the beginning of the NY SBI race with the same propellers and chips, but a piece of wood ended our mission. We were only able to let the cats tail out of the bag in NY. We had decided to let the cat out of the bag at the Camden race but do to the gun ships at the Walt Whitman Bridge we did not want to be mistaken for an attack. In 2002 the Bad Boy 38 ran 93mph all day long with 500 EFIs and on occasion reached 96 mph with 34 4 blade propellers. Many involved at that time can verify these facts. In addition at that time the 38 hull was unpredictable at those speeds. Now, thanks to all the people supporting our project success we have a hull and engine combination that is remarkable. The radar speed of 106 mph that was taken on the river at the Camden race is correct. For the Camden race (P2) we set up the 38 Bad Boy with 27 hydromotive 5 blade propellers and rev limited to 6400rpm. The good thing is we never hit the rev limiters, but the 27 5 blade propellers are pretty small and the engines will turn 7400 rpm, so we are going to pull the chips and find some big wheels, and launch the missile. Please stay tuned, we will announce the launch date once we get the O.K. from missile control.

Best Regards,
The Bad Boy Powerboat Family

I have just one favor to ask. I am at one end of the river, and Kurt lives at the other end. So.....I already know which way you are going to point it. Please have mission control call, prior to the launch and I will open both doors. Smitty.

PaPa Ernie here
I witnessed the missle launch in NY. We set Relentless up for acceleration, and believe me it accelerates! There we were in NY with a good start on the outside, normally it doesnt matter where we start with the accerelation we have we normally dont run into traffic. The next thing you know I see the Badboy 38 about 6 boat lengths in front of us. I said to Jr., what are you waiting for he said NOTHING!!! I was shocked, if they hadnt broke I dont think we would have seen them again!

Tony, you have one hell of a boat there, its time to turn it loose!!!!

Best of Luck
Papa Ernie
