It was R!
It doesn't seem like the SOB Racing will be dead afterall.
It will just be at a different venue instead of OPA.
Plans are in the works for the 2005 season.
Updates will be found at: SOB Racing Website

Re: Thanks for the advice Smitty!!!
The final count is in! 90 + boats participated in this event!!!
Over $600 raised for Juvenile Diabetes.
Just in from Rich Owen:
2004 CT River Run Acknowledgements
The 2004 CT River Run was held on Oct 16 .
Ninety plus boats attended this year .
Hydrostreams were #1 again with 15 + boats .
A big change this year was number of Superboats (10+) for a strong second place .
One of my favorite boats was George Desmonds’ 18’ Procharged Donzi .
Another was George Cochrans’ National Champ X-60 Inflatable (70+mph!)
I’d like to thank the following :
Warren Elliott for co-hosting and buying the burgers and dogs .
Russ and Deb Johnson for preparing the BBQ .
Brad Snow for lots of help (and getting me into this sport)
Debbie , Bob Zip , Jay Taylor , Randy Main for signing people in .
Thanks to John Fleck (and family) and the River Park Association for allowing us the use of their beautiful beach . And thanks to Lori (AKA “The Cookie Lady”)
Thanks to Joe and No Anchovies Pizza for delivering 70 pizzas !
This year there was a $ 606.00 surplus in the pizza donations .
This will be given to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation . Our 2 neices , Marisa and Emily give all of you a big THANK YOU (particularly the family who gave $60!!)
Thanks to Greg at www.screamandfly.com and Mark at www.hydrostream.org for their continued support. And it was nice to meet Maureen Murphy (one of the Scream & Fly team)
Thanks for the T-shirts Greg and Maureen !
Rich Owen
I look forward to this event next season! What better way to flush the salt out of your engines prior to Winter storage....
