Re: Where are the Factory Teams in Factory 1?
Not rooting for anyone or organization, searched the web for kilo records, didn't find a site that lists them all. Did I miss something. Who started the kilo run records? Were all manufactures invited to the SBI only kilo run?
That fountain sounds like a hell of a fast boat, I wonder how it would run with 496 power? If that boats runs as fast as indicated how come nobody is running it now? If it is that fast sure seems like a no brainer for someone looking for a F1 boat, given it is for sale.

Hey Fever Mike,
I believe that was before they came out with a min. X dimension which has been in place since 2001.

Mike,
That's the mutual fun boat that I raced. It's the lightest lay up of all the race 29's and really fast on smooth water. But it can be a handful in the slop. I have heard he is asking $45K for the boat..still has 500 efi. If someone is interested I could get them the info.

Very good point SNGLSTACK. I was at the boat show the other night and spoke to a guy that has been with Reggie for awhile and he said that there was no plan on building one as of yet. I just figured someone might read it in that section and move forward with the question for a true answer. Really would be great to see one of Reggie's boats out there running that class. Question is what hull would you go with. I really think the 29' would be a bit to small for all conditions. I would like to here Gino's opinion as he ran a 29 in F1 a few years back.

I suppose if you look at how the sanctioning bodies measure Fountains, the 29 would come in at 26'11". (homologation specs for Super V shows the 38 Fountain as 35'11"). The SVL spec is from 25'0"-32'0", so a 29 SVL would still fit the class, albiet on the smaller end. Who knows how they'd do against the 29 Activator and 30 Phantom. Like any boat, smaller means better in flat, not as good in the rough.
I also suppose that a better fit for a Fountain in SVL would be the 32 with a flat deck and canopy. Knock off the swim platform and you're right around 30'. You don't see many (any) pleasure 32's with singles, but as SNGLSTACK points out, with the right amount of cash anything is possible.
Again, sorry for the hijack. Just thinkin' out loud here...

Brian,
Is the 32' still in the line up? Is that considered a Lightning or Fever edition. I also wonder how it would run with a 525 in it.
