We usually do ours, weather depending, weekend before Thanksgiving. There are still a couple of good runs left in this season.

please.... you need all day and all night well below freezing with no sun during the day before you need to worry. Even then a lightbulb or two and/or lowering the boat tro water level will work.... another month left before I do mine.

True, the compartment picks up and stores A LOT of heat during the day, not just from direct sun either.

I HOPE to get one more run, it will probably be with a ski cap, gloves and carhartt jacket on though.....
I keep telling the wife I have to get out and get some stabilizer run though it.

Besides draining the block, it is a good idea to run some pink anti freeze through it once it is heated up and fog the motors. Just to be on the safe side.

That always helps especially if the pee has a high alcohol content.

I'll winterize around Thanksgiving or shortly thereafter. About four years ago it was 78 on New Years day. Didn't last long but that's Oklahoma weather for you.
