anyone know this boat? '89 Caribbean O/B
Its for sale over on the island and a friend of mine (nate) is looking to get into a project boat for about $5k so it fits the bill.. Looks like a good, clean hull.. swap out those horrible fishing seats for some bolsters, add some carpet, gauges and a stereo and itd be kind of a cool boat for the price..

thought maybe someone might know somethin bout it.

I don't know the boat, but thats the same hull as the 24 Excalibur, 24 P&D ect. I believe the hull/mold was used and or splashed by many builders. It would probably be a good 5k boat for your buddy.

PM Trojan-man He has a set of bolsters for sale that would probably work for that boat.
That boat needs a cool azz paint job on the side.
Looks like a pretty good buy.

It looks to be a good buy for $3,500-$4,000 range. Make plans to rebuild the engine. A rebuild on the 225 will be in the $1,400 -$1,800 range to do it right. I would recommend porting the 225 out to a 300 port map which will give you about 280 hp and also adding a Simion Alternator kit. As for speed it will maybe do 45 mph with the stock 225. My 21 Apache I had was a lot lighter and had a 200 2.5 Merc and it would run right at 66 Mph. That 24 hull is a lot heavier and has more deadrise. I guess a lot depends on what he wants to do with the boat.

thanks for the info guys.. i fwd it all to him today. Cant see how he could really go wrong even if the engine needed a total rebuild and cld get it for $4k or $4500.. putting another $6k into it would make an awesome ride for what he's wanting..
