Wanted to remind everyone of the 4th Annual Lake of the Ozarks Shootout Poker run this year being held August 22nd, 2008 as always the Friday before the Shootout Races.

We will have Two Helicopters Flying to cover the event on Friday August 22nd with some additional shoots available for those who want to get in on Magazine Coverage!!!!!!

I'm sure its a nice run and all be we have been doing the OSO Big Dicks "fun run" for 6 or 8 years now. Everyone has a great time and there aren't any promoters to suck money out of us to line their own pockets

The only one that profits from this is Big Dicks, and we'd like to keep it that way

This is not jus a run from dog days to big dicks. This is a poker run than last all day and way into the night with a live band and food. All the stops they have are very cool stops They put on a good poker run.

The nastalgia part of the fun run has always outweighed the poker run for myself and many others. It's been an OSO right of passage for many years now. One isn't obligated to a time schedule and the perks are just as good IMO. You get more of an opportunity to hang with the guys you talk with on here everyday.

Not to mention, all the hardware will be doing the fun run.

You are Very Miss Informed as to your comments! The money that is raised past expenses is donated to the Shootout Organization and Charity. Always has and always will.

Please do not make excuses as why you feel you do can not support this event at the lake that helps Fire Rescue and other organizations.

Nothing against the fun run as I am just informing people of the 4th Annual Lake of the Ozarks Shootout Poker Run which includes a ton more then a Fun Run. But then who knows maybe the Fun Run includes

Magazine Coverage
Event T-shirts
Dinners
Band
Party
Poker Run DVD


Do not worry All boats will be clearly marked for Helicopter Coverage and those that are shot by accident will be removed.

Seems last year several people said Why support the Poker Run when we can just plan our fun run around, get Helicopter coverage and try and order our DVD'S later and get out of actually paying and supporting the run.

I would only stand to assume by your lack of facts and your comments that you are one of these guys!

You do not have to make the run to Big Dicks if you choose not to and if you would like to move at your own pace to the different stops that is ok as well.

If you want to get all your cards back at the Party you are more then welcome to do that as well.

I appreciate what your saying Gary, BUT, many of us having been doing the fun run for years, It is always a Great time with friends from all over the country. We will end up back at Dog Days drinking Red Bull and Voodka and telling lies as always. As Buck and Von Bongo stated this is a 6-7 yr tradition for many of us, so no real reason to pay for a poker run anyone is welcome to come run with us and have a really good time on the cheap.
