Somehow the water never looks as rough in videos. We went to PIB this summer and half the island was closed including all of the good restaurants and the b*tches charged me $5/gallon for gas! Happily the lake was behaving! It's an 80 mile each way run for me from north Lake St. Clair.

A yr ago that same weekend, we were at Middle Bass for the weekend.

Weather forecast for Sunday (return) was ****.
It did say later in day would be better.

Lake looked to be 6’ - 8’s.

Our friends rolled the dice and left that morning in their 25’ Searay.
He later said he wasn’t sure they would make it back.

I took the gamble and waited on conditions to improve.
Rented a golf cart and played on the island.
Me keeping an eye on the water the whole time.

It never improved.
Probably should have paid dockage another night but didn’t.

I never had any video of my interesting trips and thought that might occupy the wife.
Reality is...., she no longer has any interest in the big lake in a little boat after this trip.
Clearly I fkd up.

This is leaving the harbor at Middle Bass in the Mrs 25 Checkmate.
There are two points in this video that you can count seconds from when wave clears bottom of boat and it lands in trough of next.

Was nasty.

Well I do have video of myself, my wife and brother heading out of Sandusky bay into solid 8-10's, heading to ki and you can see them capping 3 -4' higher then my bow, one actually capped over my bow hard pushing me to port and almost capsizing my 35 mistress, that was the first tine I ever turned around, 25 years I never turned back before till that day, I would have to upload it to YouTube but I have some of his Facebook live video. You can see in the screenshot that wave is 3' higher then my windscreen, so I would peg that at least 8' since my rib rail is about 5' from keel

Here's a few videos I'm usually between 40-55 mph in them some faster but that's where they like to be, I am not new to going for a rough water ride, I love it and that's why I bought offshore over Sea Ray, so yes I would have easily been out last week if I was home. Frick style is in one of these videos Lake don't seem to rough but he can testify it wasn't flat that day, he knows what I'm talking about lol
Videos for Dale haha

those are 2-4's and if your standing bow up it's more, watch them there's some good ones there and in reality I been in much rough water when nobody else is out, but I wasn't doing 15 mph either, last weekend was not rough either with 2-4's i would think more then 14 mph is capable of Justin was running 50-60 and more. Maybe I will see ya out when it's rough we can go have fun making videos, or post yours? Let's see your videos at least I have them to back up statement
