If the weather is nice we might be out on the 17th, just depends on what the wife unit wants to do.... The boat has trip 700's in it,

Fall is my favorite time to go to PIB when there are no crowds and no police
. I'll never do it again though in my 22' boat because the water kicks up without warning. The first time I got caught in big water I managed to stay on plane most of the way back to the Detroit River but did stuff it twice (at low speed). The second time was honest 6-8s and no sense to it and that meant idling almost all the way back to the river with water coming over the bow over every wave, but not into the boat. It took hours before I was able to go on plane about 10 miles from the river. At least the river and Lake St. Clair were behaving.
