We were there a while back.

Stayed at Huron and really enjoy a day trip to Middle Bass but weather was making me nervous in our tiny boat so we just stayed on the boat and explored.

Docked at North Bass until being run off by May flies!

Found a gorgeous, protected bay w/a sand beach on the SW corner.

Did a lap around Sugar Island and it’s harbor and same for Middle Bass.

Between Middle and South Bass we saw a beautiful, 100’+, custom yacht drop off plane head to PIB before changing course and head to Middle Bass.

Had big power and either jet or surface drives w/a huge rooster tail.

It then turned east and headed toward Cleveburg and we tried to tuck in behind it to bust down the building waves on the way back to Huron and get a closer look.

Couldnt catch it in that water!

Drove through some rain as I tried to avoid rain clouds but still ended up being a great trip and we had a blast!

BTW, just saw results of a study ranking US lakes and it rated Lake Erie as #1.

interesting.

I was pretty sure it was coming up.

Man, looking at your schedule, you guys are going to create some hydrocarbons!

That looks like an awesome three days of running I’m jealous!

We were talking about coming up for the weekend somewhere on the lake already.

Maybe try to meet up with you guys on one of your stops.

I would love to try and run with you guys between stops but with my wife on board I would be divorced by the time something broke :-)

We tried to do the Music Fest at MB but waited to long to reserve a dock and we’re sold out!

Thanks for the heads up!

Sonic - you could always meet us out on the water at a tie up - or at PIB all weekend. Sunday is open for anything, I am sure it will be a little more lazy / stationary.

My number is on the bottom - feel free to text.

Very cool and thank you sir!
Would love to see the hardware.

We planned to get a dock at Huron and run to Vermilion and back w/you but they are full.

I did reserve THE last dock at Middle Bass for the weekend though!

Will launch from West Harbor.

As you know, w/that lake, and a 25’ boat, it all depends on wind/lake but would love to!

This is what the radar looked like, the last 3 Sundays we left Middle Bass, three separate yrs!
Ugh!

Sounds good. Head on over in the evening and come hang at PIB for a little bit. Or, we may try to shoot over to Middle Bass.

Yes - Huron has a boat and car show Saturday - also a music fest? Sounds busy, we'll see of we can tie up even.

I am sure you could finagle a ride on someone's boat for one of the days of running.

Additionally - NOAA calling for 3-5s - up and down - throughout the weekend. Should make things interesting! Running about 75 miles each day.

My number is in the flyer at the bottom - shoot me a text so I have yours.

Will do on the txt.

And yeah, started watching weather yesterday.

Just ck’d for Friday and it’s picking up.

WNW winds at 19 - 32!

Yikes!

Might have a large bar tab at Crows Nest before spending the night on the trailer in their parking lot 😎

If it does that you guys might have a fun ride back from Detroit!

And not sure if you know of it, don’t know the name but it is one of the parks on Kelleys Island on the east side just south of the north east corner.

Sand beach totally protected from the west and beautiful!

The beach at the campground would be protected from the west too.

Gary - Do you mean "North Bay" ? If so, it's on the list! 8-8-24 @ 15:00 - This may also be our meet up spot after running on Saturday, TBD.

NOAA forecast seems to be leveling out. Now back and forth between 1-3s and 2-5s. I think we just need to wait and see.
