Water levels are higher than I have ever seen them, then get a strong west wind. Waves were probably splashing on the store fronts, and yes that's a bit of snow in the third picture

Wow!

Looks like Lake Erie after a blow where docked our boat.

Amazing what the wind can do in the Great Lakes.

I lived in Fla for 9 yrs and saw 1/2 the tide change their in 24 hrs than I saw at our dock on Erie😂

As always, great pics and thanks for posting.

If you make it this far north, you have an open invitation to dock at my place and share a little BBQ

What a generous offer.
Thank you!

Where abouts are you?
It doesn’t show on my phone.

I would like to see the sand dunes of Lake Michigan this yr too.

Ive done Erie islands a bazillion Times and ready for some new scenery.

The wife’s boat is ready so who knows?
Shes a great first mate, loves weekending on our tiny cuddy cabins and will go anywhere I suggest.

I know how lucky I am.

My dad one time, said to me in front of her, “you are lucky to have a wife that loves boating as much as you do.”
I said pop, you think there would have been a second date if she didn’t?

I have a picture of her asleep in the cuddy of my old 24 Sonic, w/my 90lb choc lab curled up beside her.
That was on the beach of Pelee.
Her first boat trip and she loved it.

You're welcome
I am located at Sauble Beach, right near the mouth of Sauble River.
Not much to see on this side, flat shallow lots of rock shoals, but get up around Tobermory, North and East its spectacular
Awesome line "The wife’s boat is ready..."
That kind of connection would make summer tons of fun!

I wasn’t kidding.

Last summer she was *****ing about all the time I spent working on my project when she suggested we buy a nice boat that was ready to use.

I was afraid of losing my man card if I didn’t take advantage of it.

BTW, Tobermory is on my A list.
Was there several times on the family boat.

Here’s a filet knife made by Tobermory legend Orrie Vale.

My dad bought it from him on one trip.

I have a framed picture of the local charter captain from there as well. (Can’t pull his name)
He spent an evening singing and playing guitar on the back of our boat.

Talk about magical...

Also did a trip in his tour boat to Flower Pot Island.

Just bought a book about he and the area.

Another yr we were there for the “Worlds First Under Water Film Festival”.
They showed dive movies on the wall of the marina restroom building 😂

I knew you were not joking! I have followed many of your posts
That's a very cool piece of history!
Tobermory never gets old (unless you live there in February I'm sure)
The past few years it seems that Toronto has just discovered it, so it is crazy crowded in the summer.
