A friend just bought a 377 with big power. Anybody out there with experience with this hull we can talk to? The boat has
900's with #6 drives.

The Skaters are bread for racing have more free board, huge tunnels and over all better ballance with their forward set engines with drive shafts.Large Skaters also saftly handle big water at speed much better than the 377s .
With that being said as a bay boat never running in more than 3 to 4' chop tops I much prefer my Talon's over all ride to any of the 36 Skaters that I have riddin in.
At 65 mph she is as solid and smooth as she is at 145 mph, no porpoising what so ever at any speed and is way more forgiving in the turns and when you catch an acational sponson while running hard.
I think you need to run both boats to decide which one is for you, totally differant rides, The Skater is like running on rails compared to the softer Talon ride. Power to power you will also need several hundred more hp to run with an equaly powered Skater.
